If there is any abnormality detected in your results someone from the surgery will contact you so please ensure we have your up-to-date contact details at all times. We do not routinely advise patients of normal test results.
If you have had a blood test, X-ray or other investigation that was requested by someone at the GP surgery you can normally get the results via the patient online access service at www.patientaccess.com
If you have not already registered for this service please do so or ask at reception. You need to register online then complete the consent form and return it to reception with one piece of recent photo ID. Once completed you will be able to
- make and cancel routine appointments with a doctor
- request repeat items of medication
- see your medication and immunisation history
- see and print results of tests and investigation
Please allow at least five working days for the results to reach us from the hospital. Some results do take longer. Please note that results of tests requested by someone at the hospital will not normally routinely be sent to your GP.
For results of a 12 lead ECG or Novacor 7 day event monitor, you will need to make an appointment to see the doctor. Please allow at least one week after your 12 lead ECG before you see the doctor for the result and at least three weeks following a Novacor as these take longer to come through.
